West Branch Driver Heads to State Bus Road-E-O

West Branch Local Schools bus driver Kimberly Fink will compete in the Ohio School Bus Road-E-O State Competition.

School bus drivers throughout Ohio participate in regional road-e-o competitions in October, designed to test and increase their operational and safety skills. Top participants at each regional road-e-o move on to compete at the state-level competition.

Participants who score 80 percent or more of the total possible points at a regional or state competition may use that event toward their six-year re-certification.

The top six drivers at each regional qualify to compete at the state road-e-o, October 26th.  Winners from the state go on to an international event in July.

The Ohio Education Association serves as state committee member for the Ohio School Bus Driver Safety Road-E-O.  Additional partners include the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Association for Pupil Transportation, Ohio School Bus Mechanics Association, and the Ohio Association of Public School Employees.
