Kimberly S. Monachino Ed.D.

and Pupil Services
Dr. Kimberly S. Monachino is the Director of Early Childhood and
Pupil Services at the Mahoning County Educational Service
Center. She received a Bachelor of Science in education from
Youngstown State University and a Master of Education in
curriculum and instruction from Kent State University. Kim also
earned a Specialist in Education degree in administration from
Kent State University and a Doctor of Education in educational
leadership from the University of Akron.
Kim joined the Mahoning County Educational Service Center in
September 2019. She has more than 30 years of professional
experience in the field of education through a variety of roles
including special education teacher, coordinator and director.
She has served in administrative roles working with diverse
learners and implementing professional development for
educators to help make their teaching more inclusive of all
learners. Most recently, Kim was the Director of the Office for
Exceptional Children at the Ohio Department of Education.
