Douglas T. Hiscox Ed.D
Douglas T. Hiscox currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of the Mahoning County Educational Service Center located in northeast Ohio. The MCESC is an educational service organization with over 500 employees that serves 22 school districts in a four county region.
Dr. Hiscox after graduating from Heidelberg College, began his career in education in 1977 as a middle/high school science teacher. In 1986, he completed his MA. Degree and certification in educational administration from Youngstown State University. He left the classroom and began his career in educational administration as the middle school principal in the East Palestine City School district and later as the high school principal in the Leetonia Exempted Village School District. He has 26 years of experience as a district Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in rural, suburban, and inner city school districts. Since 2005 he has been working with inner city students, teachers, and administrators in the Bridgeport City Schools, Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Youngstown City School District, Youngstown, Ohio.
Dr. Hiscox received his Ed.D from Youngstown State University. Along with his Ed.D at YSU, he has studied curriculum and instruction at the doctoral level at Kent State University. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Southern Connecticut.
