Physical Therapy
- Can your student access his /her education?
- Can he/she get on and off the bus, travel through hallways and around classrooms, including stairs with his/her peers?
- Does your student have adequate posture, strength and body control to manage his/her supplies and sit through educational sessions necessary for learning?
- Can he/she play and interact with peers in gym class and on the playground?
These are some of the quality of life issues that Physical Therapy related services for the Mahoning County Educational Service Center may assist with. We may also help to manage equipment that students with orthopedic concerns might need.

Although we do not provide clinical treatment in the school setting; we can set up, instruct the student and staff, and oversee exercise programs. We also coordinate with a student's private outpatient physical therapy services when given parent permission to do so.
We have a staff of five Physical Therapists and two Physical Therapy Assistants who are available to assist your student.
