All MahoningCounty districts have identified Lead Mentor teachers. These teachers are involved in ongoing professional development to enhance their skills as lead mentors. Lead Mentors are responsible for helping the Mentor & Beginning Teacher teams to answer questions, helping to facilitate time for classroom observations, and general guidance throughout the program. The Lead Mentor is the liaison for the district to the county consortium and assists in the monitoring of Beginning Teacher Program materials throughout the year by completing Compliance Checklists.
